When one makes the decision to make some changes in their lives and thus start losing weight, they often expect results as soon as possible. You are skipping meals
Most people often think that by skipping meals, they are able to lose more weight without too much struggle. This is however not true since the body still needs a constant supply of food to buy and if it does not, it will set itself to starvation mode meaning you will be eating very little but it all gets stored as fat thus you end up gaining more.
Over restrictive diet
Your diet may be doing you more harm than good. If it happens that your diet restricts what you are going to take, then that means you will end up having cravings. For example if you completely say no to sugar, your body may retaliate by wanting sugar in a way that forces you to consume more than you should.
When dieting so as to lose weight, you have to know what portion of each food group you are supposed to eat. If you get these portions wrong, then there is a high chance that your program just won’t work.
No matter how much you cut back on what you are feeding your body, if you do not follow through with a good exercise program you may not lose any weight. You may shed a few pounds at first but this is before your body gets used to reduced calories then it goes back to its usual way.
This is one of the major causes of failed training and dieting programs. People are usually psyched up during the first two weeks then they start slacking off. This may be in terms of eating unhealthy foods or not working out anymore which puts their bodies in relaxation mode thus no weight is lost.
First rule of weight loss is that you should set a reasonable goal for yourself and the time range in which you are expected to achieve it. Most people set goals that are too high and when they realize this, they just decide to give up on the whole program as a whole. It is thus important to set goals that are more achievable to give you more encouragement to continue when you achieve them.
You cannot work out from morning to nigh every day. That is not how the human body what created to function and that is why rest and getting enough sleep is so important in getting in shape. Make sure that you get enough rest so that it can give your body time to rejuvenate.
